Carolina Mendez was born in Caracas, Venezuela in 1964. A Photographer, Printmaker and Mix Media Artist. She received her BA from the Metropolitan University in 1988. She studied printmaking with Amber Quimby at the Museum of Art of Fort Lauderdale in the USA, and Documentary Photography with Leo Alvarez and Roberto Mata, Portrait Photography with Ricardo Pena, Color with Cristina Matos-Albers, and Medical-Scientific Photography with Ramon Arispe in Venezuela. Carolina Mendez has exhibited in the USA and abroad, including shows at the Broward Art Guild, Art Serve, Broward College, and Weston Library in Florida, Anna's Art Gallery in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands, and US Embassy Caracas, RMTF, and Galeria Espacios Libres in Venezuela. Her work has been reviewed in the Hispanic and Caribbean Art Magazine, Ciudad Weston Newspaper and El Universal in Venezuela. Her work has been featured in STATE Magazine, Helping Hands newsletter and in NOW Bienes Raices Magazine in the USA. Carolina Mendez lives and works in Plantation, Florida.
